As an Episcopal minister, David Code hears the kitchen-table confessions that families don’t tell their doctor or therapist. From the joy of weddings and baptisms to the agony of divorce or kids acting out, David has collected the wisdom of these real-life confessions of what parents wish they had known before their families descended into crisis.

 

David’s preventive medicine for families has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, Parents Magazine, the Christian Science Monitor, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

 

Born on a farm in Canada, David has stayed with families in fifteen countries across four continents, and learned Japanese, Russian and French. He studied at Yale, Princeton, La Sorbonne, and the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family (formerly part of Georgetown Medical School). He lives in State College, PA with his wife and their two children.

 

As featured in Parents Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, NPR and the Christian Science Monitor, David Code is a family coach and Episcopal minister. After training at Yale, Princeton, the Sorbonne, and the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family (formerly at Georgetown Medical School), he founded the Center for Staying Married and Raising Great Kids. He lives in State College, Pennsylvania, with his wife and their two children.
